Connection
We have reviewed our product from 25+ people from the elderly community, and 5 Doctors who are very used to providing medications to elderly people. We are very glad to tell that we have got extremely good positive feedback from all the people and got some constructive feedback on which the product can be improved further. The reviews from some of the people have helped us a lot in understanding the problems better and can be solved using innovation by design to come up with a better product.
Here are some of the minutes of the detailed conversations from some of the users and their constructive reviews on the product:
Saksham's grandmother:
Age: 66 years old
Doesn't feel that she needs such a product as she doesn't face any problem in remembering things and has a good memory.
But according to her, this product can be used by middle-aged people who are very busy with their fast-moving life and forget to take care of their health. They usually need their old mom to remind them to take their medicines.
Khushi's mother (doctor):
As most of the senior citizens have their kids settled away from their parental home. They are lonely at home. A mild to moderate degree of memory loss is always seen in this elderly population and they are often bed-ridden. So, this product can be helpful for such elderly patients who are on multiple medications with different dosing regimes.
She found a problem with our product. Most medicines are supplied in strips and if taken out, it may lose efficacy on environmental exposure. The solution for this is that we have to cut the strips into individual tablets and store them in our medicine reminder. This is also how nurses store the medicines in hospital wards.
